Adriana explained how she wanted to create unique ‘kitten cafes’ in the State of Florida. She wanted customers to be able to enjoy a cup of coffee, and read a book all while having a kitty on their lap. She says that this benefits the customers by providing entertainment and stress relief. Mark Cuban was quick to tell Adriana that he was out.
Entering this cafe would cost customers $9.00 in addition to any snacks or beverages that they may order. Some of the sharks seemed to struggle to understand the idea and weren’t sure how Adriana was planning to make a lot of money. The sharks also weren’t sure why she thought her company was worth $500,000 as an implied valuation. Kevin O’Leary eventually decided to drop out because he wasn’t in favor of the idea and wasn’t a very big fan of cats either.
Lori Greiner went out next, not feeling like it was the right thing for her. Daymond John loved the concept, but didn’t feel it was investable. Last but not least, guest shark Nick Woodman said he’d absolutely be a customer but he wouldn’t invest, so he too was out. With no deal from the sharks, Adriana was forced to leave the tank without a deal but what happened next for her company? Keep reading our Gate Cafe update to find out!
